The second Spice Festival is being held at the leading five star hotels and, a few gourmet restaurants in Colombo, from September 14th to September 21st 2006.

It did unleash its sizzle and spice at a gala inauguration on September 13th 2006, at Hilton Hotel, Colombo.

This is an annual event of the Sri Lanka Tourist Board. This year's World Spice Festival is assured of being bigger, better and spicier than last year's.

The five star hotels and gourmet restaurants that will don the chef's hat are:-

  • Mount Lavinia- Hotel- Thai
  • Water's Edge- Singaporean
  • Gallery Cafe- Thai
  • The Mango Tree- North Indian
  • Raja Bojun- Sri Lankan
